The Makita BHP452RFWX is part of the Makita LXT Li-ion range and provides longer run time due to the Makita Li-ion battery technology.

The kit comes standard with the DC18RA fast charger and BL1830 18V Li-ion batteries communicate throughout the charging process using the built-in chip in the battery and built-in CPU chip in the charger. The DC18RA charger also uses “Active 3 Control" for current control, thermal control & voltage control.  The built-in fan keeps the battery cool to produce a longer battery lifetime.
